Men Accused in Drug Bust Released on Bail

Two men who are accused of possessing over 28 pounds of marijuana were released from custody Wednesday morning.
Two B.C. men accused of possessing over 28 pounds of marijuana were released from custody on Wednesday, after posting $1500 each in bail recognizance.
On January 20th, Redcliff RCMP pulled over a vehicle for a routine traffic stop along the Trans-Canada Highway, and seized the marijuana, along with a small amount of ecstasy, prescription drugs, about $2500 cash, and the vehicle itself.
Jordan Swanson, 24, and Matthew Van Delft, 22, will return to court on February 28th, to face charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of the proceeds of crime, and possession for the purposes of trafficking.
As a condition of their release, they are not to have contact with each other, or be in possession of a cell phone.
