Medicine Hat native Dan Federkeil has signed a three year contract with the Calgary Stampeders.

Medicine Hat native Dan Federkeil has signed a three year contract with the Calgary Stampeders. The Stamps received the offensive lineman in a trade with Toronto for non-import linebacker Akwasi Antwi. Federkeil, 29, played at the University of Calgary before turning pro. After playing on the defensive line for the Dinos, he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the National Football League’s Indianapolis Colts in 2006 and made the switch to offensive line. He spent four seasons with the Colts (2006-09). Federkeil was Toronto’s first choice in the 2006 CFL Canadian Draft.
