Medicine Hat Tigers

The Medicine Hat Tigers were shutout at the Arena Saturday night. The Brandon Wheat Kings beat Marek Langhamer three times, then added an empty netter for a 4-0 win over the Tabbies. Langhamer made 20 saves. The loss drops the Tigers record to 11-3-and-1. They'll try and rebound Tuesday when the Swift Current Bronco's are in town.

Medicine Hat Cubs

Austin Galipeau had two goals and two assists at the Medicine Hat Cubs downed the Vipers 8-6 in Red Deer on Saturday. Cole Schafer played all 60 minutes between the pipes, stopping 42 shots. The Cubs are now 7-6-and-1 in the Heritage Junior Hockey Leage South Division standings and will host Cochrane on Friday, an 8:15 p.m. puck drop at the Kinplex.

MHC Volleyball

The perfect season continues for the Medicine Hat College men's volleyball team. They downed SAIT in three straight sets both Friday (25-15, 25-20, 25-15) and Saturday (25-16, 25-20, 25-23) and improve to 6-0. It was the complete opposite on the women's side. The Trojans swept the Rattlers in three sets both days (25-19, 25-14, 25-13 and 26-24, 25-17, 25-13). The lady snakes are 1-5 on the season.

MHC Basketball

The Medicine Hat College men's basketball team suffered its first loss of the season. The Red Deer Kings edged the Rattlers 69-68 on Saturday. This comes after the Rattlers had a 71-65 victory on Friday. The MHC men lead the ACAC South Division Standings at 5-1. On the women's side, the Rattlers beat the Queens by scores of 62-47 and 83-70. That improves the Lady Snakes to 3-3.
