Schneider Signs, Hunt Traded, Players Return Ahead Of Opener

The Calgary Flames have signed Medicine Hat Tigers goaltender, Nick Schneider, to an entry level contract. The Medicine Hat Tigers have traded forward Dryden Hunt to the Moose Jaw Warriors. Tigers forward Trevor Cox will be apart of the Medicine Hat Tigers season opener in Lethbridge on Friday.

The Calgary Flames have signed Medicine Hat Tigers goaltender, Nick Schneider, to an entry level contract. Schneider has been attending the Flames training camp this past week. Last season, he posted a 15-7-and-1 record with an .898 save percentage.

The Medicine Hat Tigers have traded forward Dryden Hunt to the Moose Jaw Warriors. In return, Medicine Hat will receive a 2nd round pick in this years bantam draft and a 3rd round pick in 2018. Hunt came to the Tigers from the Regina Pats last year, and had 43 points in 44 games with the club.
 

Tigers forward Trevor Cox will be apart of the Medicine Hat Tigers season opener in Lethbridge on Friday. Cox was taking part in the Washington Capitals training camp. Several other Tigers still at NHL camps include Cole Sanford in Edmonton with the Oilers, Nick Schneider with the Calgary Flames, and Markus Eisenschmid with the Canadiens in Montreal. - Logan Piekema
