The Medicine Hat Tigers have a chance to sweep their first round WHL playoff series with Saskatoon. The Tigers beat the Blades 5-2 Tuesday night at the Arena. Goaltender Cam Lanigan made 42 saves while Curtis Valk opened up the scoring three minutes into the game. "A lot of energy in the building," says Valk. "It's a lot of fun playing in front of a crowd like that and to build off that and play like we did was great." The other goals were posted by Steven Owre, Kyle Becker, Logan McVeigh, and Hunter Shinkaruk. The Tigers take a 3-0 series lead into Wednesday game against the Blades. However, Tigers Head Coach Shaun Clouston maintains it's way to early to be talking about winning the series against the Blades. "They're a great team and had the best record in the league in the second half," says Clouston. "We've got a lot of work left to do."
