The Medicine Hat Tigers continued their winning ways Friday night, downing the Prince George Cougars 5-3 at the Arena. That makes 5 straight victories, matching a winning streak they put on between October 24th and November 1st. Miles Koules opened up the scoring 1:22 into the first period and Elgin Pearce got one on the power play a couple minutes before the frame ended. Hunter Shinkaruk, Curtis Valk and Logan McVeigh would add the other makers. Cam Lanigan made 37 saves between the pipes for the Tigers.


With this win, the Medicine Hat Tigers now have a record of 30-26-2-1. They remain in 6th spot in the WHL's Eastern Conference with 63 points, just 1 ahead of Swift Current and 4 in front of Lethbridge. The Tigers will look to make it 6 straight wins Saturday night when they welcome Saskatoon to the Arena. However, the Tigers have their work cut out for them as the Blades are riding a 10 game winning streak.
