The markup rate will be reduced by $11.21 to $2.46 a litre for spirits and reduced by $1.49 to 32-cents per litre for refreshment beverages like coolers and ciders. Reductions will be applied to the sales of all products made by small manufacturers in Alberta which produce under 1,500 hectolitres. The reduced markup is expected to return about $1.4 million to manufacturers in the next fiscal year. -Tina Giesbrecht
