Charges have been laid in a bizarre vehicle theft case in Brooks. On Saturday police found seven people milling around the Walmart parking lot, but when they approached, everyone scattered. During an investigation, police arrested three people in an apartment after a brief standoff. Two stolen vehicles were also recovered. Ryan Lee Bowden, 29, of Medicine Hat along with Thomas McKee, 42, and Catherine Kearney, 43, both of Brooks all face a count each of possession of stolen property over $5000.
