Weil Group Canada and The City of Medicine Hat say to date, positive discussions have taken place

A possible helium liquefaction plant is in the works for Medicine Hat.  Both the city and Weil Group Canada have confirmed they are in talks to build a plant here that would become a central hub for Weil to receive helium from projects in Alberta and Saskatchewan.  NGPR general manager for the City, Brad Maynes says the discussions have been promising.  Maynes says, "Those discussions to date have lead to the possibility that we see potential, fairly good economics when it comes to the upgrading of helium to that liquefied state, and the subsequent marketing, both domestically and overseas."  Maynes says should Weil Group and the city agree to go ahead with plans, a new plant could be up and running in the next 2 to 3 years.  ~~  Warren Affleck
