City NGPR Revenues Less Than Forecast

Medicine Hat City Council heard many factors contributed to the budget revision.

The City of Medicine Hat Natural Gas and Petroleum Resource division will still make money this year, but not as much as originally projected.  At last night's council meeting, division manager Brad Maynes told councillors revenues were being revised downward by about $23 million.  Maynes says the optimism is still there however commodity pricing did not rebound to levels originally hoped for.  Maynes says staff does the best they can but with so many factors outside of their control, like pricing, it can be frustrating at times.  ~~  Warren Affleck
