UPDATED: Cypress County Firefighters Mourn Loss Of One Of Their Own

County officials say James Hargrave died in the line of duty.

Cypress County firefighters are mourning the loss of one of their own.  County officials say 34 year old James Hargrave died in the line of duty while fighting the wildfires near Hilda yesterday Tuesday afternoon.  Redcliff RCMP say Hargrave died during the fire-fighting efforts when a collision occurred between a water truck and a pick-up truck. Hargrave was the lone occupant of the water truck and died at the scene.  Hargrave served with the Walsh Fire Station and was described as a community minded man who joined the fire service to protect residents near and far.  Hargrave leaves behind a wife and children as well as extended family, including his fellow first responders.  Cypress County says no further details will be released.  ~~  Warren Affleck
