Drunk Driving Trial To Resume Later This Month

Curtis Beisel faces several charges in a December 2015 crash on the Trans Canada Highway.

The trial of a Cypress County man accused in a drunk driving crash that injured several people will resume later this month after charter issues were settled.  Curtis Beisel stands accused in the crash on the Trans Canada Highway in December of 2015 after it was alleged he drove the wrong way and hit a vehicle that sent multiple people to hospital, including a new born infant.  During a previous court appearance, a Judge ruled against some blood evidence as it was not obtained properly by Police.  Crown on Thursday told Judge Eric Brooks, they will not use that evidence and instead use blood evidence that was obtained at the hospital with a warrant.  The trail is now expected to resume on January 25 when a blood expert is brought in to testify.  ~~  Warren Affleck
