Housing Starts In Medicine Hat Behind Other Provincial Centres

CMHC data shows a relatively flat November for starts in the Gas City

It looks like housing starts in Medicine Hat remain flat based on year over year numbers.  The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation released the November stats and the numbers are about the same as they were at this time last year.  Last month saw just home 12 starts in the city, as compared to 13 a year ago.  Data indicates that is the lowest number of any similar sized centre in the province.  Year to date numbers remain down with 124 home starts in the first 11 months of 2017 compared with 154 last year during the same time.  Medicine Hat numbers remain the lowest of any reporting centre in the province.  ~~  Warren Affleck
