Housing Starts Slowly Showing Improvement

CMHC data for October shows a slight increase in housing starts in Medicine Hat

It looks like housing starts in Medicine Hat are finally picking up after a sluggish year.  The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation released the October stats and the numbers are showing some improvement.  Last month saw just 19 single family home starts in the city, as compared to 16 a year ago.  Data indicates that is the lowest number of any similar sized centre in the province.  Year to date numbers remain down with 112 single family home starts in the first 10 months of 2017 compared with 141 last year during the same time.  Medicine Hat numbers remain the lowest of any reporting centre in the province.  ~~  Warren Affleck
