Identification Required When Casting Your Ballot

You'll need a form of I.D. when voting in the municipal election

With advance polls underway, and the main polling day coming this Monday, election officials want to remind you to bring ID with you when you cast your ballot.  Returning Officer Angela Cruickshank says much like a provincial or federal election, you'll need to prove who you are at the polling station.  Cruickshank outlines what will be acceptable, "We'll be looking for a photograph with your address, like a drivers license or Alberta I.D. card.  If you don't have that, then two pieces of I.D., one with a photograph such as your passport and then maybe a city bill that shows your address on it."  Advance polls will run through to Saturday afternoon with the main polls open on Monday.  ~~  Warren Affleck
