MHPS Investigating Complaint Of Tampered With Halloween Candy

Police say a woman reported finding a sewing needle inside a chocolate bar

Medicine Hat Police say they are dealing with a complaint of Halloween candy that was tampered with.  A concerned parent reported finding a sewing needle inside a treat sized Coffee Crisp chocolate bar when she bit into it.  The woman was unable to tell police where the chocolate bar came from, but said she had taken her child to houses in the Somerset area, Northlands Way NE, and Desert Blume.  Police are now investigating to determine where the candy may have originated.  Investigators are encouraging parents to inspect all candy and to throw away any unwrapped or unsealed items.  ~~  Warren Affleck
