Minor Injuries In Single Vehicle Accident

MHPS says the driver lost control on icy roads and no charges are pending against the young driver.

Only minor injuries resulted from a crash on the Redcliff overpass this morning.  Medicine Hat Police were called out just after 8:00 am after an Acura car lost control on an icy portion of the overpass, entered the ditch and struck a light pole.  The 16 year old driver and 2 male passengers received only minor injuries in the accident while damage to the car was said to be extensive.  No charges are pending against the driver.  While at the scene, police stopped another car for speeding.  The 20 year old male driver was handed a speeding ticket.  Police are reminding drivers to slow to 60 km/h when passing emergency vehicles.  ~~  Warren Affleck
