A new homeowner had a bit of a scare in Crescent Heights Wednesday afternoon when an artillery shell was found under the steps of their house. City police say they were called to the 500-block of 20th Street NE around 1:00 p.m. from a person who recently purchased the property. Officials from C.F.B. Suffield arrived a short time later and determined it was a practice round and posed no danger to the public. Sgt. Stacey Fishley tells CJCY News it's not uncommon for people to bring artillery shells home from the base as a "souvenir" and later forget about them.
