Road Conditions Mean Multiple Collisions For MHPS

Police are cautioning drivers to slow down and stay off the roads if you can.

With winter descending on the area, the Medicine Hat Police Service has been busy dealing with traffic collisions the past couple of days.  Sergeant Clarke White with the Traffic Unit says the weather has made driving in the city a challenge.  White says officers have been dealing with many accidents due to the road conditions, "I would say in the last 24 hours, well since the snow started on Wednesday evening, we would be looking at about 30 collisions."  White says with the continued snowfall that number is only going to go up.  White says drivers really need to be slowing things down, especially on side streets and to make sure you completely clear all windows on your vehicle...not just scrape a small hole.  ~~  Warren Affleck
