The event is to thank first responders and put impacted residents in touch with resources if they need them.

Residents and first responders affect by the wildfires last week in the Hilda and Schuler area's will have the chance to get together this week.  The Schuler Community Association is hosting an event on Wednesday (Oct. 25) to thank all the first responders and also put people in touch with resources should they need it.  Organizer Michaela Holt says representatives from the RCMP, Alberta Health Services and governmental agencies will be on hand.  Holt says, "I have representatives from those, from Special Areas, departments in Saskatchewan.  Questions can be asked so those departments also can go back and find new and better ways to deal with situations like these."  Any resident affected by the wildfire is invited to the Community Hall in Schuler with the event beginning at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, October 25.  ~~  Warren Affleck
