Some progress in getting the Wildhorse border crossing open 24-hours. Medicine Hat’s Member of Parliament was part of a group that met with the Wildhorse Border Crossing Committee in Havre, Montana Wednesday. Lavar Payne says a steering committee will be putting together a proposal for temporary 24-hour access in both directions. "We’ll put together some ideas on how this will work, and then present it to homeleand security,” said Payne. "From the Canadian side we’ll be working with that group and doing a similar presentation through public safety.” Payne added the steering committee will be meeting again in mid-November, at which time they should have a plan in place.
