Trial Continues For Cypress County Man

The trial of a Cypress County man resumed yesterday in Medicine Hat court.  56 year old Curtis Beisel was charged in January last year for the December 2015 incident where it's alleged he was driving the wrong way on the Trans Canada highway near Dunmore and crashed into another car.  The Crown concluded it's case with testimony from an blood expert who told the court, a sample taken at the hospital produced a blood alcohol content of more than double the legal limit of .08.  Under cross examination, the expert maintained her confidence in the findings the accused was impaired at the time of the crash which injured several people.  The trial will continue on February 2, when the defence is expected to call one or two witnesses.  ~~  Warren Affleck
