Veiner Centre Renovations On Time And On Budget

Work is moving indoors for the winter season ans renovations and repairs continue.

The Veiner Centre renovations are proceeding on time and on budget.  Medicine Hat city council this week received an update from facilities project coordinator Scott Woodside, who brought the good news.  Councillor Julie Friesen says even better news is work will continue even when it turns cold outside.  Friesen says, "It's been something that's been of such high interest.  Once building starts, it seems like it's going to be so long.  I'm heartened by the progress and that they are going to have the building enclosed for the winter, which means they can continue to work all winter despite the weather."  Construction is expected to wrap up next summer with seniors seeing programs return shortly afterwards.  ~~  Warren Affleck
