YMCA Gets Provincial Funding To Help Job Seekers

The funding contract with Alberta Labor will assist 360 local job seekers

The Medicine Hat YMCA is continuing to offer job seekers in the city support in finding employment.

The YMCA said in a news release the funding will allow the organization to assist an additional 360 clients through the program.

As part of the new funding, the program will allow participants to access up to $2,500 for re-training for a career they’re interested in.

Individuals will also get help with cover letters and resumes, interviews, career coaching and job matching.

YMCA staff members will be meeting prospective employers to determine hiring needs and help to create matches between those looking for work and the employer.
