Reuniting parents with lost children on the stampede grounds is something the Child Find program is proud of.

The service will be operating once again this year during the four days of Stampede and volunteers will gladly get those on the grounds registered free of charge.

Sgt Mike Fischer with the Medicine Hat Police Service Community Safety Unit says it’s a quick registration process

Fischer says, “As soon as you come in, just stop and see us.  We’re going to have out volunteers setup.  You’ll recognize them with their green vests on.  All we need from the parents is a phone number.  From the kids we’ll get a photo and that way if they get separated, we have the best opportunity to reunite everybody.”

Fischer advises parents going on multiple days to re-register each day.
