If Kipling Street is part of your daily commute, expect a huge detour for the next month. Construction gets underway Tuesday (July 9) at the intersection of Kipling Street and 5th Avenue, right in front of the Canada Post building. It’s so crews can get new water and sewer pipes in the ground to service the area. With that, there will be no through traffic on Kipling Street. To get around the construction, drivers will have to go up either the College Ave Hill or Dumore Hill and turn onto College Drive. The city expects the work to be done sometime next month. During the construction, there will still be access to all homes and businesses along Kipling Street.
