A man is facing impaired driving charges after a head-on crash Friday evening on Hill Road S.E. Police say around 6:40 p.m. a Dodge Ram was going up the hill and veered into the oncoming lane, smashing into a Honda Minivan. A woman and a two year old child in the van were taken to hospital. The woman suffered soft tissue injuries, while the child was said to be in “good health.” Police say because of evidence at the crash scene, the man driving the truck was immediately under investigation for impaired driving. The suspect can’t be named until charges are sworn in before the courts. He’s facing counts of impaired driving, refusal to provide a breath sample and dangerous driving. The crash caused about $40,000 worth of damage.
