Willie Desjardins is back in the National Hockey League as interim coach with the Los Angeles Kings.

Some though are asking what that means for the Academy partnership with some schools in the Prairie Rose School Division

Assistant Superintendent Reagan Weeks says not much will change with the hockey academy program

Weeks says, “Certainly he still intends to build our on and off ice curriculum.  He’ll have regular consults with the coaching staff and students themselves.  So, he really intends to be, and continues to be the leadcer of the program.”

Desjardins said in a statement he remains committed to ensuring student athletes succeed both on and off the ice
