Medicine Hat native Connor McGough is ditching the cat for a horse.

The 25 year old McGough, who spent his high school football career at Crescent Heights High School, has signed a 2 year contract with the Calgary Stampeders.

He was drafted 4th overall by the Hamilton Tiger Cats and during his time there recorded 33 career special-teams tackles, 14 defensive stops including one tackle for loss, one sack, two forced fumbles and one knockdown.

The University of Calgary Dino twice earned Canada West all-star honors during his time playing for the Dino’s.

The Calgary Stampeders inked the deal with the defensive lineman during the newly implemented free agency negotiation window.
