No charges are expected to be laid after a fatal collision on Highway 41 North. It happened around 2:15 p.m. Monday near Township Road 132. RCMP say a northbound semi-trailer collided with a southbound sedan. The 64 year old woman driving the sedan died, while the truck driver had only minor injuries. No other information about the victim is being released. Mounties are still investigating. but are asking any member of the public who saw the collision and has not spoken to the RCMP, please call (403)548-2288 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).

Cypress County, Ab. – Redcliff RCMP are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision which occurred at around 2:15 pm on Monday, January 7, 2019. A northbound semi-truck and a south bound sedan collided just north of Township Road 132 on Highway 41 North. Traffic was diverted for several hours following the collision. The driver of the sedan, a 64 year old female, died as a result of her injuries. The male driver of the semi-truck was treated for minor injuries on scene. The cause of the collision is still under investigation but at this time it is not believed that any charges will be laid. No further information concerning either driver will be released. There were no other persons inside either vehicle.
