It’s a Super Bowl Sunday a couple of Medicine Hat drivers will want to forget. City police say they held a check-stop Sunday and two people were arrested for impaired driving. Over a six hour period, officers inspected 75 vehicles. Meantime, the number of impaired driving charges have jumped year-over-year. Medicine Hat Police say there’s been 14 arrests so far this year, compared to just five by this time in 2018. Since new impaired driving laws came into effect December 18th, 21 impaired driving charges have been laid.
