Reports are coming out that up to 750 front-line nurses in Alberta could be losing their jobs in the next three years.

CBC is saying the United Nurses of Alberta was informed of this yesterday.

UNA president Heather Smith is quoted as saying she is asking for an immediate emergency meeting with Health Minister Tyler Shandro.

Smith said in a news release the Kenney government had promised not to touch front-line health workers.

There is no word at this time how this may impact the Medicine Hat Hospital.
